Nascar Gear - Stuff You'll Need at a Race
We came across this article during our mindless wonderings around the web. With "The Chase" about to start, we though those of you heading to the track for the first time might this helpful:
Real Nascar fans attend at least one race a year. To make the racing experience a fun one, there are certain items you will need to take along with you. The following is a list of the essentials.
Nascar Apparel. Everything from t-shirts to jackets to caps are essential.
Food and Drink. Plan on taking sandwiches, drinks, chips, cookies, and peanuts.
Cooler. Gotta have a place to keep your grub! But be sure and use a smaller sized cooler.
Scanner, camera, binoculars. A scanner keeps you in on the action, and the others help you see and record the action.
Money. You may need new apparel items or food/drink items.
Tickets. Don't forget them!
Sunscreen. Depending on the time of year and which side of the track you are on, sunscreen is a must.
Cushion. Those metal seats can get very hard during a three-hour race.
Sunglasses. Keep the glare away, plus you look cool.
Rain gear. You never know...
